We're delighted to introduce you to David McGiff, the principal manager for Terra Tek Limited Laboratories. A SafeLane Global Group Company.

Unrivalled Experience in Laboratory testing.

David started life at Terra Tek as a trainee lab technician and quickly progressed through several different roles at Terra Tek to his current role as Principal Manager.

Twenty-seven years (and counting) of experience means there isn't much David hasn't seen or done, and our clients can rely upon the knowledge and expertise he has gathered during this time to make sure they're taking the right path and avoiding any potholes in the road.

David's responsibilities include planning, programming, and timeous completion of all laboratory and in-situ testing works, including overall management of staff and resources across UKAS accredited labs strategically placed throughout the UK.

The scope of Terra Tek testing activities spans a large volume of geotechnical and chemical tests that utilises over 70 highly trained and experienced staff - all operating within well-established and documented quality systems and procedures.

Accreditations Terra Tek holds include:

BS EN ISO 17025:2017 (including MCERTS for chemistry testing) required for competence, impartiality and consistent operations of UKAS accredited laboratories.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System focuses on all aspects of the operations, including robust procedures for project management and contract reviews to ensure timely reporting of results.

We are qualified and accredited.

David also helps our clients ensure the continued compliance of multi-site UKAS accreditations and associated quality-related matters, enabling testing between all of the laboratories within the group to be consistent with identical procedures and very high standards. Doing this ensures that our nationwide testing laboratories work in unison - successfully managing workloads and collaborating on multiple projects at once.

David is dedicated to learning.

David also actively attends many courses, conferences and seminars throughout the UK to keep on top of all relevant industry-wide topics to ensure he has the most up to date knowledge in his field.
