Through so doing, Lucie has reenforced our group-wide commitment to honouring the Armed Forces Covenant and supporting the Armed Forces Community.

At Igne, we recognise the value serving personnel, (both regular and reservists), veterans and military families contribute to our business and of course to our country.

We count many veterans among our loyal and respected workforce, both as full-time employees and as contractors who support our many projects across the UK.

One area of the business where we naturally have the most veteran talent is of course the unit that Lucie is in charge of, i.e., explosive threat mitigation

We welcome leavers who have search and explosive ordnance disposal skills to the UXO business unit as their skills are critical as we work to keep our clients’ personnel and projects safe from the legacy of UXO here in the UK.

Elsewhere across Igne we employ service leavers who bring expertise and excellence honed in the Armed Forces in logistics, risk management, project management and engineering.

As fully signed up members of the Covenant now, we will continue to seek to uphold its principles in the following ways

  • Support the employment of service leavers / veterans, recognising military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process.
  • Promoting the Armed Forces: promoting the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation, to our staff, customers, suppliers, contractors and wider public.
  • Support and/or promote Armed Forces events, such as Armed Forces Day/Week, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance activities.
  • Engage with local Armed Forces presence–local Army units, reservist units, RAF stations and/or naval bases.
  • Attend recruitment fairs to inform veterans about our employment opportunities.
  • Develop relationships and work collaboratively with other organisations supporting the Covenant and the Armed Forces Community.
  • Remembrance: organise, facilitate, promote and/or take part in remembrance and other ceremonial activities.
  • Cadet Organisations: encourage our employees to consider volunteering to be cadet helpers or instructors where practicable.
  • We actively and openly invite feedback from the service community, our staff and our customers on how we are achieving the foregoing, how we can do more and excel in terms of our proactive commitment to the Covenant and all it stands for.

If you have feedback and ideas, please do share them with us via our website.  If you are or are soon to become a service leaver, and you’d like to explore career opportunities with Igne, please email your enquiry to our recruitment team via recruitment@igne.com
