We're excited to introduce Ryan Hobson, the dynamic leader of Igne’s latest Construction Materials Testing Hub in Wombwell, South Yorkshire.
With 15 years of experience in the industry, Ryan brings a wealth of testing expertise and a sincere dedication to quality assurance and staff development in his new role as Field Services Manager.
Ryan's journey into materials testing began unconventionally during a university summer job in a materials lab, igniting his interest in quality control and construction materials testing. He quickly progressed through various roles, from lab technician to site technician, gaining hands-on experience, including a stint as a driller in ground investigation.
His diverse background equips Ryan with a thorough understanding of site operations, the importance of meticulous testing procedures, and a profound respect for his colleagues.
Throughout his career, Ryan has prioritised client satisfaction and team well-being. In his previous role, he successfully managed a team of 65, emphasising service delivery and reliability.
Ryan’s leadership style focuses on delegation, empowerment, and teamwork, aiming to foster a culture of excellence at Igne.
Now, at Igne, Ryan is establishing the on-site testing division in the Northeast under Director Peter Godfrey, concentrating on assembling a top-notch team and delivering quality service to clients.
Ryan’s commitment to quality, cost-effectiveness, and expert support sets him apart. He believes in exceeding expectations and building lasting relationships based on trust and reliability.
As a hands-on leader, Ryan commands respect from his colleagues, having experienced the realities of field work and testing firsthand.
Beyond work, Ryan is a devoted family man, enjoying time with his wife, Leanne, and their son, George. He also indulges in hobbies like exploring the Yorkshire Dales, attending music gigs, and following rugby and football.
With Ryan leading Igne's new on-site testing division in Yorkshire, success is assured through his pursuit of quality, client satisfaction, and team well-being.
